Welcome

In partnership with our ecumenical neighbours the Churches of the Circuit group work together to convey the good news of Jesus and the message of God's love for all. Should you be looking for a Church to make your spiritual home, or perhaps visiting some of the lovely countryside of the area we give you a warm welcome to our Churches and the towns and villages where they are based.

Our Mission Statement

"The people of the Methodist Church in the Worksop & Kiveton Circuit see their calling as responding to the gospel of God's love and the living out of discipleship in worship, mission and daily living."

Location

The Circuit is geographically placed at the intersection of three county borders: Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and S. Yorkshire and covers an area of 100 square miles, much of which is prime agricultural land. A large part of the Circuit was in a former coal-fields area that is now home to many service industries, and several logistics companies. These industries are drawn to the area because of its strategic position between the M1 and A1. Northern parts of the Circuit are in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham; to the south, in Bassetlaw District Council, Clumber Park and Sherwood forests are to be found; to the west some of the Circuit is in Bolsover District Council, NE Derbyshire. Tourism and leisure is becoming an increasingly important part of the economy, especially with the development of the new Robin Hood Airport at Doncaster
